Comfort foods are a hit right now along with homecooked meals and ordering out. The feeling of congestion or indigestion can be highly likely at this time. It is important to know that it isn’t just what we’re eating that is important, but the presence of waist and toxins in our body. If waste or toxins are in our body for too long it can bring down the quality of our immune system, making us more susceptible to the virus COVID-19.

With that being said we decided to provide you with 7 tips to help you digest and clear your colon. These tips will not only clear your colon but boost your immune system as well.

1)   Keeping it REAL!

This is the main and most essential tip. Artificial foods and foods with chemicals are a big red flag to the body. Our bodies do not digest them! Why is this? It is because these foods are not real foods. They are foods produced by businesses and not nature. Artificial foods and chemical ingredients are also missing another big factor. Life! These foods are not living, they do not grow and reproduce like all living things. This means they do not carry the nutrients and elements that are meant for the human body, so our bodies do not digest these foods or chemicals. Instead, it becomes fat in our bodies. A clogged colon is likely clogged because the “foods” that are indigestible and don't provide nourishment for the organs that are responsible for digestion.

2)   Milk and Cheese

This is one that people are becoming more and more aware of. Dairy is for one a mucus builder. Dairy also contains the milk of cows which carry hormones that are not human hormones. We can do the math from there.

3)   Eat Alkaline

Alkaline foods are plant rich foods such as fruits and vegetables. They are also high in fiber which helps with digestion. Make sure your water is alkaline as well! Add a lime here or there to help with the cleanse.

4)   Fried Freedom

Preferably steamed or baked foods are Ideal over frying. The oil from fried foods becomes saturated fats that can sit in our intestine. However, there is a lot of talk about air fryers, so this may be a good alternative.

5)   Herbal Teas

Ginger tea is a good go-to when it comes to getting multiple jobs done. Benefits include:

1) Helps reduce body mass (BMI) and blood insulin levels

2) May drastically lower blood sugars and improve heart disease risk factors

3) Can help treat chronic indigestion

4) Helps improve brain function

5) It's an anti-inflammatory

6) Helps settle the stomach

7) Helps reduce risk of chronic diseases

6)   Movement!

Movement is very important when it comes to clearing our colon. By simply going for daily walks, we contract the muscles through-out our torso and large intestine. This helps move the bile for digestion while also breaking down food and absorbing nutrients for energy.

7)   Bedtime

Sometimes it can't be helped, and we need something to satisfy our cravings that tend to come late at night. Especially during this pandemic when a lot of people are staying home from work and staying up a bit later at night. It's good practice to eat light during the late hours, this way your body has time to digest your food and you won't experience indigestion or heart burn. This will also help you avoid constipation or feeling bloated the next morning.

This is a safe nontoxic, non-acidic cleanse. These tips are also beneficial in helping prevent COVID-19. Apply these tips to daily living to experience a healthier more fluid life. Stay safe!
